Junior Sailing Program | |
| In keeping with its mission of promoting the skills and traditions of racing one-design dinghies, Crescent has a large and active training program for youths aged 9 to 18. They learn to sail and race in Optimist Prams, Flying Junior, Lasers and 420s. The advanced students race in weekly regattas with other clubs. They also vie to represent this area in the national Sears Regatta. Crescent and the Detroit Regional Yacht Racing Association host a national junior invitational team regatta each summer. This event attracts junior teams from coast to coast. As a result of this ongoing activity, Crescent has produced top collegiate and one-design sailors. |

Crescent Sailing
Association The CSA, through the efforts of Rod Glover, now has a Thistle. It was donated by a gentleman from Chicago. The boat just needs a bit of work and is ready to go. The Thistle Fleet is going work on cleaning it up and doing some minor rigging updates.
